Giving new purpose, fresh starts.

We serve our community by accepting gently-used furniture and décor from those who have much, to help those who have little. With assistance from referring agencies, families in need
become our clients and receive the gift of home.

Casting Vision

Our typical clients come to us with absolutely nothing to furnish their space. They may have an air mattress, but most are sleeping on the floor. After meeting together and evaluating their needs, we prayerfully form a vision for their home. Teams are assembled to “shop” for and “bless” them.

Shopping Day

Shopping takes place in our 5,000 square foot storage facility—a temporary home for donations. Teams carefully scour the facility, looking for just the right pieces to bring the vision to life. As items are chosen, they are packed, labeled and readied for the client’s Blessing Day.

Blessing Day

Professional movers load the truck and deliver items to the home. A Blessing
Team is already onsite, working feverishly to prepare the space. It’s a flurry of activity as curtains are hung, furniture is arranged, pictures are mounted, and beds are made.

Finally...Home

When the space is complete, the client returns. As they enter, joy overwhelms them. They notice the details…their favorite colors, their name on the wall, a Bible, a comfy bed, the aroma of soup and cookies. They feel known and loved. Finally, they have a real home.

Stewardship

Taking Care of What We're Given

We take the stewardship of resources seriously, recognizing that Finishing Touch is God’s ministry, not ours. Projects are approached prayerfully with open hands and hearts, expectantly waiting to see what the Lord will do. On many occasions, he provides the perfect solution at the last minute. We believe in using what we have before purchasing items and adhere to conservative guidelines when making necessary purchases.

Our staff is 100% volunteer-based staff, and all monetary donations go directly to support our mission. Donated items are carefully stewarded as well; some are repainted or repurposed, but eventually they find a new home. We keep our overhead costs minimal and have an active Board of Directors.

Loving Clients Well

The stewardship of our clients is our greatest privilege and responsibility. As we meet with potential clients, it is a joy to hear their stories, get to know their hearts, and build relationships with them. Whenever possible, we continue our relationships long after the Blessing Day. It is thrilling to learn of new births, unions, and milestones, and we celebrate with each one as they continue their journey.
