Despite trauma and abuse throughout years of homelessness and shelter living, B has kept her faith in the Lord, knowing that He will (and he DOES) provide. Several years ago, B was able to move into her own apartment, but it remained mostly empty. She confided in us that a few years ago after seeing a TV show about a home makeover, she had prayed and told the Lord that it sure would be nice if something like that happened to her one day. We are so grateful to God and to The Hope Center for directing us to B. We had FUN with this project.
B loves the beach and her black kitty. We were downright giddy as we shopped our storage (thanks to our wonderful donors) and found, over and over again, the perfect beach-y accents, down to a kitchen towel that says, “I love the beach”. We even got to makeover a special corner in her living room for her beloved cat. Throughout the whole process, we got to remind B that God loves her and that He provides for her. We serve a God who sees all and cares for His children. He’s a good Father!
